Offering impact gifts for end year !
A gift that promotes craftsmanship?
Lucid represents a local and transparent solution to the unsustainable textile industry, making a positive contribution to environmental and social transition. By giving a second life to materials often considered waste, Lucid aims to reduce the sector’s impact on resource extraction. The company communicates honestly about its solution, so that consumers are aware of the production chain and workers’ working conditions. The raw materials (cotton scraps & recycled polyester from plastic bottles) come from Spain (Belda Llorens), are then knitted in France (Malterre) and manufactured in Belgium in an adapted work center (C.A.R.P.).
A responsible gourmet experience?
Refoodgees is a socioprofessional integration restaurant that trains refugees and newcomers to the hospitality industry. The aim of this non-profit organization is to create links through food, by introducing authentic world cuisine to the Brussels public, with quality dishes made from local and seasonal products. Two courses are offered to trainees (kitchen assistant training & bar and restaurant service training), whether they are new to the sector or already chefs in their home countries who need to adapt to life in Belgium. After 1 year’s training, Refoodgees supports them in their job search.
